1. Rock Beach
If it’s good enough for posh and becks, Hugh Grant, Prince William and Prince Harry, you can be certain that it must be pretty special – and it really is! A walk along the mile long stretch if golden sand from Rock to Daymer on a sunny day allows you to view Cornwall at it’s very best, with stunning views of Padstow across the estuary. Although you won’t be escaping the crowd, Padstow has to be in the top 5 places to visit in Cornwall. The gorgeous little fishing town is bustling during the summer months and offers stunning views of the harbour and the estuary. For those who are a little more adventurous, there are speed boat tours around the estuary or you can hire bikes and cycle the infamous Camel Trail which attracts over 500,000 cyclists every year – and for good reason!
3. Constantine & Boobies Bay
This hidden gem of a beach offers some of the most consistent surf in the UK; often better than Fistral, but with a fraction of the footfall.
4. The Watering Hole, Perranporth
Situated on Perranporth Beach, The Watering Hole is a fantastic bar & restaurant. Take a walk along the 3 mile stretch of beach before kicking back with a beer and watching the sun set in style.
5. Watergate Bay
