Best For Serious Surfers – Fistral Beach

 

Fistral is a world renowned surfing venue, regarded as one of the best in the UK & Europe and home to the Boadrmasters festival and surfing competition. Along with an excellent beachside complex and surf school, Fistral wins surfers choice hands down.

 

Best For Couples – Crantock Beach

 

Voted the ‘Best British Beach by BBC Coast 2013, Crantock is a large sandy beach near Newquay with fantastic dunes, stunning cliff top walks and a view to die for. At the top of the beach are two charming pubs, open all year round and serving quality ‘pub grub’ with views across the bay.

 

 Best For Families – Towan Beach

 

The most central of Newquay’s beaches, Towan Beach is a well sheltered beach with smaller waves, ideal for novice surfers and safer swimming. Towan Beach is also home to Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium, a great place to take the kids.

 

Best For Learning To Surf – Great Western Beach

 

Great Western benefits from being north-west facing, which means it often has good surf, although not a big as Fistral. Great Western is also home to Newquay Surfing School who have their onw private beach facility and provide high quality surfing lessons 7 days a week throughout the main season.

 

Best For Music Lovers & Adventure Seekers  - Lusty Glaze Beach

 

Surrounded by 100ft cliffs and with a fantastic beachside bar & restaurant, Lusty Glaze is a must visit beach in Newquay. The beach offers one of Europe’s longest, highest and fastest zip wires, jet ski hire and regular live music events.
